While all the temples in and around the holy town, Tirupati are dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, there is this one holy place dedicated to Lord Shiva. Tirupati has an ancient Shiva temple at Kapila Theertham. It is the only holy waterfall in Tirupati. The waterfalls host Kapileswara swamy temple dedicated to Shiva. A small Lord Venkateswara idol was established here in 4th cave above the waterfall Kapila Theertham lies north east of Tirupati. The waterfall is situated right in the middle of the temple. A good place to visit during the monsoons as the water fall looks breathtaking.
